Stop losing patients after a few visits.

MuscleMap measures soft tissue stiffness so you can show patients objective proof and keep them committed.

58% of chiropractic dropouts quit for one of these two reasons:

Survey of 455 patients who left chiropractic care.

"I didn't see results by the time I was initially expecting to and lost faith in the treatment plan."

How MuscleMap fixes it

Show stiffness patterns shifting across visits. Objective evidence the stiffness reading is still moving, even when pain hasn't caught up yet.

"I felt better, so I thought I didn't need more visits and stopped going."

How MuscleMap fixes it

Show stiffness patterns are still elevated. Objective evidence for staying on care, even when pain is gone.

What we measure

MuscleMap measures soft tissue stiffness. We measure how much force is applied to a tissue and how much that tissue displaces.

Press the MuscleMapper into the tissue for 5 seconds and get a stiffness score from 0 to 100.

The method is myotonometry, backed by a peer-reviewed evidence base going back over two decades.

The average chiropractor is leaking $105k a year of recoverable revenue.

How we got to $105k

38 new patients/mo × 5 missed visits × $80 × 12 mo = $182,400 / year lost
58% are perception-based dropouts = $105,000 recoverable

Frequently asked questions

Why is this a subscription? expand_more
A subscription means you only pay if you're getting value. The hardware is a means to an end. What you're really paying for is the software, the reports, the ongoing support, and updates that keep making it better. Your first 30 days are free starting when your device is delivered, with no return required if it's not for you. After that it's $0 down and $150/mo, month-to-month, cancel anytime. Low barrier to try, easy to walk away if it stops working for your practice.
How much revenue will MuscleMap recover for my practice? expand_more
It depends on a lot of variables specific to your practice. We aim to recover a proportion of what's lost to perception-based dropout. See how much your practice is losing to dropout.
What are the terms and conditions of the 30-day free trial? expand_more
Card on file at signup, but no charge until 30 days after your device is delivered. The trial clock starts when MuscleMapper lands at your door, not when you sign up, so you get a real 30 days with the device in hand. The MuscleMapper ships free. If it's not for you, keep the device with no return needed. You'll get a reminder email a week and a day before the first charge so nothing sneaks up on you. After the trial, the standard $150/mo kicks in, month-to-month, cancel anytime from your dashboard. One note: the 14-day money-back guarantee offered on the standard plan does not apply to trial users. The 30-day trial is your try-it-free window.
When exactly does my trial start? expand_more
The day your MuscleMapper is marked Delivered by the carrier. If shipping takes 3 days, your 30-day trial begins on day 3, and your first charge is on day 33. We track delivery via the shipping carrier's confirmation, so the start date is whatever day the package actually arrives.
Do you have any research that backs up the accuracy of this device? expand_more
Yes. MuscleMapper uses myotonometry, a quantitative method for measuring soft tissue stiffness that's been in the peer-reviewed literature since the late 1990s. Specifically the force-displacement approach (ΔF/ΔL), same method category as the original Neurogenic Technologies Myotonometer. Published studies show stiffness tracks with laterality of pain (Wu et al., PMC8866935), is elevated in chronic pain as a signal independent from pain itself (Lederer et al., PMC6942862), and reflects treatment response across a course of care (McGowen et al., J Athletic Training 2023, PMC11215642). A 2024 systematic review of 48 studies found good-to-excellent reliability for stiffness (ICCs 0.75-0.91, PMC11205912). Honest framing: well-established method, newer hardware. MuscleMapper as a specific device has not been independently published yet. For the full writeup with hardware specs, read the research breakdown or email harrisonshu@getmusclemap.com.
How do I cancel? expand_more
Log into your account at app.getmusclemap.com/dashboard and click "Manage your subscription." One click. No phone call, no email, no return required. During the 30-day post-delivery trial there's no charge to cancel. After the trial, it's month-to-month. Cancel anytime.
Is this like INSiGHT? expand_more
No. INSiGHT measures sEMG (nerve function). MuscleMap measures soft tissue stiffness via force-displacement. Different tool, different data. $0 down, $150/mo vs $17,700 upfront. No subluxation claims.
How reliable are the readings? expand_more
Not absolute values. But same patient, same time, same protocol = meaningful comparison across visits. Patterns are what matter, guarding, asymmetry, treatment response. We track relative change, not absolute diagnosis.
What's the commitment? expand_more
Free for 30 days starting when your device arrives, then $0 down and $150/mo, month-to-month, cancel anytime. If the trial doesn't work out, there's no need to return the device. We'll remind you a week and a day before the billing date so nothing sneaks up on you.
What if the data shows they're better and they stop? expand_more
Good. If they're actually better, they should stop. The data is honest. Patients who see honest data trust you more. They come back when they need to, and they refer.
